Bridlington
can offer you a traditional bucket and spade holiday but it is also
part of the Yorkshire Heritage Coastline and has lots else to offer.
There are wide sweeping, award winning sandy beaches and an active working
harbor bordered by flat promenades and plenty of refreshment stops.
There are lots of local shopping opportunities at the bustling, twice
weekly market, or at The Promenades shopping centre, or in the quaint,
historic Old Town, or at Park
Rose Pottery and the John
Bull Factory Rock Shop. If you love the great outdoors,
you could cruise along the coast to Flamborough Head or to Scarborough,
on the Yorkshire Belle, visit the RSPB
Bird Sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs, or walk
in the beauty of the Yorkshire Wolds.
If you love to reminisce about 'the way things were' peep into the past
at the Old Penny Memories Museum or visit the Beside the Seaside museum.
Leisure World, with it's wave machine, tidal pool and gym is less that
a five minute walk from our door, and, whilst the Spa
Theatre awaits the grand re-opening after major renovation
(in 2007), leisure
world plays host to live entertainment all year round.
There are many places to eat, from fish 'n' chips to Tex Mex, carveries
to Vegetarian, or if you prefer, you can eat 'at home' with us during
the autumn and winter months. The best thing about taking a break is
that the time is your own, but we would be happy to recommend things
to see and do during your time with us.
Also located in Bridlington is the Georgian
Rooms, which is made up of The Georgian Tea Rooms on the
ground floor and The Georgian Antique Centre on the first floor.
